A private notification history for your Android phone
Saksi saves the notifications your phone shows, so you can read them again after they leave the shade. Search them, see when a WhatsApp or Telegram message was edited, and your history stays on your phone. Saksi only keeps what Android shows after you turn on Notification Access. It cannot save messages that never appear as a notification, or content an app hides.
Free to use. No account needed.

From messages and social updates to emails and everyday alerts, Saksi helps you keep your Android notification history organized.
Saksi saves notifications from the apps you allow. What ends up in your history depends on the apps you have installed, whether Notification Access is on, and what Android shows in each notification.
Saksi is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the apps named here and has no special integration with them: it saves only what they show in Android notifications. Names and logos belong to their owners.
Swipe one away, restart your phone, or let an app clear its own notification, and the text is gone from the shade. Saksi keeps a copy of what your notifications showed, so you can come back to it later.
A notification you swiped away stays in your Timeline. The free plan keeps the last 7 days.
When a WhatsApp or Telegram one to one chat notification proves an edit, Saksi keeps the earlier version next to the new one.
Every label says what Saksi actually saw. Possible deletions and unproven changes are labelled as uncertain.
Saksi works with what each app shows in its notifications. Here is what that means in practice. WhatsApp groups use the same handling but have not had their own test run.
| Source | New messages | Edits | Possible deletions |
|---|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp one to one chats | Saved | Marked Message edited when the notification proves it | Labelled as possible, never as certain |
| Telegram one to one chats | Saved | Marked Message edited when the notification proves it | Labelled as possible, never as certain |
| Telegram groups and channels | Saved | Shown as Updated | Not guessed, to avoid false alarms |
| Any other app you allow | Saved | Not proven | Not tracked |
Saksi saves what Android shows in notifications from the apps you allow. It cannot save messages that never appear as a notification or content an app hides. Open or muted chats often do not create one.
Photos and files: Saksi saves a copy only when Android gives it access. Often only the file name or type is available, and Saksi says so.
Saksi is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Telegram.

Scroll back through your notifications, open a conversation, or narrow things down in a couple of taps.
Search the text, conversation names, app names and file names Saksi saved.
Filter by app, or by event: New, Edited, Deleted, Updated, Cleared or Dismissed. The Deleted filter also shows possible deletions.
Open a conversation to read its saved messages in order.
Compare an edited message with its earlier version, and open the original record.
A notification can change or vanish for many reasons. Saksi tells you which of these it actually saw, and labels possible deletions and unproven changes as uncertain.
The text Android showed in the notification, saved the first time Saksi saw it.
The notification showed clear proof of an edit, in WhatsApp or Telegram one to one chats. Saksi keeps the earlier version. In some other messaging apps the same badge can appear for an unconfirmed change.
Marked Deleted only when the messaging app's own notification says the message was deleted. Today Saksi recognizes this notice from WhatsApp, in English and Indonesian, and keeps what it saw before. Any other disappearance is shown as a possible deletion, which is uncertain.
The message is no longer in the notification. This often means it was deleted, but it is not confirmed. A disappeared notification is never proof that the sender deleted a message.
Android or the app hid the content, or did not provide a readable file. Saksi says so instead of guessing.
The label style shows how sure Saksi is: filled means Saksi saw it, a solid outline means the app said so, dashed means not confirmed, dotted means not available.
Dismissed and Cleared mean a notification was removed by you, the app or Android. Neither is treated as a deletion. Updated means the notification changed, but Saksi cannot prove it was an edit.
Saksi can alert you about proven edits, deletion notices and possible deletions. Alerts are normal Android notifications, so your notification and Do Not Disturb settings decide whether they pop up. Every alert is also kept in the Alerts inbox.

These are illustrations of Saksi features, not screenshots. Android shows Saksi only what each app puts in its notifications.
Saksi has no account. Your notification history is stored on your phone, is not uploaded to Saksi servers, and is shared only when you choose to share something.
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
Your notification and chat content is stored locally on your phone. Saksi does not upload it.
Notification Access is an Android permission you grant yourself. You can turn it off at any time in Android settings.
Saved content leaves your phone only when you tap Share.
The free plan keeps 7 days of history. Older items are deleted automatically, about once a day, and cannot be restored.
Erases Saksi's archive, saved files and alerts on your phone, then pauses capture. It does not delete messages in other apps or copies you already shared.
Saksi needs one Android permission. After that, your Timeline fills as notifications arrive.
Saksi is coming to Google Play for phones with Android 8.0 or later.
Open Saksi, tap Open Notification Access and turn Saksi on. Setup walks you through it.
Notifications are saved as they arrive. Every app is included by default, and you can exclude any app in Settings, Capture & Apps, App Filter.
Turn a saved message into a Saksi receipt, as an image or as text, and send it through Android's share sheet.
A receipt shows what your phone's notification showed. It is not verification by the messaging app.

Pricing detailsThe short version of what Saksi can and cannot do.
No. Saksi is not a recovery tool. It keeps a copy of what your notifications showed while it was running. In WhatsApp and Telegram one to one chats, a message that disappears from a notification is labelled as a possible deletion, which is not proof that the sender deleted it.
Only what your notifications show. After you allow Notification Access, Saksi saves the text Android displays in a notification. It cannot open WhatsApp, Telegram or any other app, read messages that never appeared as a notification, or see content an app hides.
Notification Access is the Android permission that lets an app read the notifications your phone shows. Saksi needs it to save them. You grant it in Android settings and can turn it off there at any time.
Yes, with the notifications WhatsApp and Telegram show on your phone. In WhatsApp and Telegram one to one chats, Saksi can show proven edits and possible deletions. WhatsApp groups use the same handling but have not had their own test run. In Telegram groups and channels, changes are shown as Updated. Saksi is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Telegram.
Only when the notification gives Android a readable copy. WhatsApp and Telegram often do not, so you will usually see the caption and a file reference instead. You can always import a file yourself in Media. Files over 20 MB are not saved.
Yes. Saksi will be free at launch, with a 7-day history and no ads at launch. Everything in the current pre-release is included. Saksi Pro, with a 30-day history and no ads, is planned and not available yet. Prices will be shown in Google Play.
Phones with Android 8.0 or later. The current version was tested on an OPPO phone with Android 16. Other brands should work, but battery settings differ. If Saksi stops saving, set its battery use to Unrestricted.
Saksi is coming to Google Play. Free to use, no account needed, and your notification archive stays on your phone.
